Trail Running Enthusiasts

Although hiking and trail running share the same mountain environments, they are built on different foundations. The difference is not simply speed, but mindset: hiking is exploratory and discovery-oriented, while trail running is more athletic and performance-driven.
At Alpmagic, this distinction is clear and shapes the way we work, because we understand the specific expectations and needs of those who experience the mountains through the sport of running.

We work with runners who want to improve their technique and training, build physical and mental endurance, explore new routes, or preview race courses before competition day. We support those who want to train with an experienced professional and receive guidance on nutrition, gear management, race strategy, and adapting to terrain and weather conditions.

We also work with athletes who want to be observed, coached, and guided in learning how to recognize and manage their body’s signals, including during more demanding experiences such as night running.

And we also welcome those who have never tried trail running before, are curious about it, and want to discover whether it’s the right activity for them.

Alpmagic has the right people to meet these goals with expertise, experience, and a clear training approach.

What we offer

If you are a trail runner who values the opportunity to train and learn under the guidance of an International Mountain Leader with trail running experience, we can offer a variety of activities:

  • day outings featuring routes of different lengths, elevation gains, and difficulty levels, including repeated climbs and descents, pace variations, race-setup testing, and gear practice
  • multi-day outings designed to train for prolonged effort and prepare for long-distance race courses
  • night running sessions to adapt to running in darkness and managing fatigue and sleep deprivation
  • reconnaissance outings on long and demanding race routes in preparation for actual competitions
  • half-day technical sessions focused on uphill speed training, improving movement on different types of terrain, and refining downhill running technique
  • short introductory outings for those who want to discover trail running for the first time
